Privacy policy
Sable stores your work in your browser. Nothing is uploaded unless you switch sync on, and nothing is ever sold, shared or used for advertising.
What is on your machine
Your invoices, clients, expenses, business profile and preferences are stored in this browser profile, using the browser's own extension storage.
This is the normal case. With sync off, none of it leaves your computer at any point.
What signing in collects
Signing in with Google gives Sable your email address, your name, your profile picture, and an account id. That is the whole list. Sable requests no other permission from your Google account, and can neither read nor send your email.
It is stored so that your work can be tied to an account and restored on another machine.
What sync uploads
Sync is off until you switch it on in Settings. When it is on, your invoices, clients and expenses are copied to Google Firestore under your account id, and only your account can read them.
They travel by way of Sable's own server, hosted on Cloudflare, which passes them to Google and keeps no copy. It stores nothing, and it records only that a request happened, never a name, an amount, or anything an invoice says.
Switching sync off stops the uploading. It does not delete what was already copied. Settings โ Delete account does that.
Who else sees it
Nobody. Your data is not sold, rented, shared with advertisers, or used to train anything.
Three companies are unavoidably involved when sync is on: Google, who provide the sign-in and the database; Cloudflare, who host the server your records pass through on the way there; and your browser vendor, who provide the storage. None of the three is given permission to use your data for their own purposes.
There are no analytics, no trackers and no third-party scripts in this extension. It loads nothing from the internet except Sable's own server, and only when you have signed in.
Deleting it
Settings โ Delete account removes the account, the cloud copy and every local record, and signs you out. It asks you to type the word DELETE first, and offers an export on the way, because it cannot be undone.
Uninstalling the extension removes the local copy but leaves any cloud copy behind. Delete first, then uninstall.
Children
Sable is a tool for invoicing clients and is not aimed at children.
